The Papa Pump® delivers reliable water access for farms, villages, and projects
worldwide — 24/7, with no fuel, no electricity, and almost no maintenance.

One Proven Technology. Pumps for Every Scale

Whether you need drinking water for a village, irrigation for a farm, or solutions for large projects; we have a pump designed for you.

World Leading Innovations

‘Venturi’ effect elastomeric valve

This unique and patented valve transforms the size and operation of ‘ram’ pumps.

In-line concentric design

Allows for strong compact and efficient operation with minimal number of components. The world’s first and only in-line ram pump.

Injection molded composite material

Using a very tough and non-corrosive material allows the pump to be mass produced and is the world’s first and only pump of its type.

Automatic flow control valve

Enables the pump to operate automatically and efficiently regardless of the water supply. The world’s first and only ‘ram’ pump to operate automatically.

Seradisc filter

A unique and patented multi disc, adjustable water filter screen manufactured using an injection moulding process with non-corrosive materials.

Venturo pump

Utilising the benefits of the ‘venturi’ valve on a larger scale enables the design of a pump capable of moving considerable quantities of water and is the world’s largest ram pump.

How Papa Pump Works

Simple to install. Works forever.

1.

Catch the flow

Catch the flow by creating a pool or chamber.

2.

Drive Pipe

Create supply head by positioning the pump at a low level.

3.

Venturi Magic

Connect pipes to supply water for the pump.

4.

Delivery

Place storage tank and connect to pump for 24/7 delivery.

Self-installable — no specialist engineers or heavy machinery required.

Applications That Transform Communities

1. Pump & Store

Pump water to a storage tank at the highest point on your land while it’s plentiful. From there, you can gravity-feed water to your home, fields, or community exactly when and where it’s needed.

This setup ensures reliable access to water during dry seasons, allowing efficient use for irrigation, livestock, and household needs. It also operates day and night without requiring supervision, providing a consistent and effortless water supply.

2. Multi-Pump Systems: Scale output without scaling costs.

If your supply flow is large and you need more water delivered, multiple Papa Pumps can be installed in parallel. This setup allows a continuous water supply even while one pump is being serviced, ensuring uninterrupted operation. It also enables higher delivery volumes without the need to redesign your existing infrastructure. By using a single delivery pipe for multiple pumps, overall costs remain efficient.

Farmers, estates, and communities can easily expand capacity as demand grows, making the system both flexible and scalable.

3. Daisy Chain Systems

ChatGPT said:

Reach extreme heights with staged pumping. For projects that require water delivery to very high elevations (over 150 meters), Papa Pumps can be arranged in a Daisy Chain configuration. In this setup, pumps are staged in steps, with each one lifting water further uphill.

Sureflow valves can be added to maintain smooth operation even when water flows drop. This approach is ideal for mountains, villages, forestry operations, and remote upland farms where reliable water delivery to elevated areas is essential.

4. Micro Power Generation & Hybrid Uses

Beyond water, Papa Pump systems can also generate value from the natural flow. They can be adapted to support micro-generation and hybrid setups, capturing excess water flow to produce small-scale electricity. These systems can integrate seamlessly with solar and other renewable energy sources, creating efficient hybrid projects.

When combined with drip irrigation, fertigation, and water storage, they provide a foundation for modern, sustainable agriculture. This makes Papa Pump technology ideal for rural electrification pilots, community resilience projects, and off-grid innovation.

Technical FAQ

A Papa pump is adjustable from 10 liters/min to over 100 liters/min depending on the supply head and supply pipe diameter. Installing a ‘Sureflow’ valve allows automatic control of the pump for very low and intermittent flow conditions.

We do not advise Papa pumps to be installed directly in a water source as it makes it difficult to secure the pipes and pump and there is rarely sufficient gradient to enable a suitable supply head and pipe length for the pumps to operate adequately. Systems installed directly in a water course are also prone to the filter blockages and flood damage.

Where the water source is a spring or steep mountain stream – it is possible to connect directly from a supply tank collecting the water to the pump – however it is not recommended that the length of this supply pipe should exceed 10 x’s the supply head.

The Papa pump requires a ‘flowing’ water source to operate and so cannot be used with a ‘static’ water supply.

Installing a Papa pump in a deep chamber to create a supply head is possible only if the bottom of the chamber can be drained to evacuate the exhaust water. If not the chamber will simply fill up with water from the exhaust thereby negating the effective supply head.
